I'm so excited, that I finally was able to purchase my dream Bernardo sandals. I'd never had a pair before; I fell in love with the Medici (as they are named in the Sundance Catalog) or Mojo in Lilac, and I'm in shoe heaven!

Are they new? I had read that Bernardo was re-releasing some best-sellers from the past.

Chris, I have been very bad in the shoe department this year, and these were my biggest splurge. They are incredibly comfortable. (Sure beats my Target & JCP thrifty fashion sandals.)

Lizzie, yes these 'Bernardo Icons' are brand new, and the guy in the video above, is the current owner of the company.
They offer quite a few of the classic styles.

I remember the Lilly Pulitzer / Pappagallo crowd running around in them in the 60s. They owned closets full, in every color.

I can remember that a few years ago Bernardo went on a buying spree to fill out the missing pieces of their archives. I'm pretty sure some vfgers sold to them.

LIzzie, I'm totally impressed with the quality of these. The man has honored the original designer's vision, and that is to be commended, I feel.

That's neat to know, that Bernardo sourced some of the originals, from VFG members.
