Can someone tell me the best way to determine the value of a vintage clothing item. I have a coat purchased in the 1960's with a designer label and I would be interested to know what it is worth. Thanks.
The best way to determine value is to research what similar items have sold for, such as on eBay
and to search the current asking prices on the web. You will have to take into consideration
things like the condition of your item against the condition of those sold or being sold etc..
What Deborah said... and also venue matters. The price goes up and down considerably according to the venue through which it is sold. For example, you don't get eBay prices at garage sales, and you don't get store boutique prices on eBay...
