Bettie Page or Cruella De Vil Dress & Jacket?

I bought it tagged as 50s, yet I'm questioning whether it might be more modern. It's a custom job. The zipper and fasteners are metal. The interior is completely lined and all the finishing was done by hand. I pulled just a few stitches from the lining and found that the seam allowances are not pinked. What do you think?

Yes, those are feathers on the jacket! Wicked, eh? Can anyone help with the fabric, which is woven as lamé, but is of just very, shiny, synthetic black strands--not of metallic strands.

No idea what to tell you, except that I really like it!! Those feathers are wonderful!!

The back slit does not look something typical of 50's evening wear does it??
 
Thanks, Bonnie! That slit is one of the things 'throwing' me, along with the small gathers at center-front waist and the curves of the jacket.
 
Hey Steph! I really like the feathered jacket too. And I agree there's something about it which is confusing, datewise.
I'm struggling to get my brain working, KW and term wise, so I'll have to get back - but this is definitely prodding some description synapses.
