Hi,

I'm searching for a Betty Grable white swimsuit for a forthcoming photoshoot.

Does anyone have one for sale, or know where I can buy one?

My measurements are:

Bust: 32E
Waist: 29"
Hips: 36"

Thanks for reading,

Roxy

I wish I did! I only have one suit in my inventory right now and it is not even close.

I always wondered what the front of that suit looked like as well.

I will ask a few folks who have provided me things in the past, though, just in case something should turn up. Keep checking back over the next few days and who knows who might come up with something

Hi Chris,

Thanks ever so much for your reply :bouncing:

I will keep checking back in case something turns up

I also wonder what the front of the costume looked liked too!

Great site by the way :clapping:

Take care & bye 4 now,

Roxy

I just thought of something Roxy.

The photo is going to be the same pose as Betty, right?

What about also considering a suit that fits really well from behind even if it is not perfect up top? no one is going to really see the front that much. I have trouble with bathing suits myself because the tops of them just don't fit most of the time.

(i don't have a white bathing suit in any size, so that won't solve the problem!)

Hi Chris,

You're quite right :-)

It only really has to look the part from the back view ;-)

It doesn't even have to be white, as the colour can be altered due to the magic of Photoshop!!!!

Best wishes,

Roxy

Hi,
I'm new here and this is my first post. I do have a black/white suit that I feel would work well. If you would like a photo contact me. My husband has to help me with posting photos to forums.:hiya:

If you have a photo host it is very easy to do.

But if not, just hit "post reply" under the last post, not the "quick reply" box and there will be a "browse file" area where you can upload directly to this board.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for posting :kiss2:

It's difficult to tell if it's quite right without seeing someone inside it lol!

However, it does look very nice :love008:

How much are you selling it for?

What measurements do you think it would fit?

I am 32"E - 29" - 36" Size 10/12 dress (UK size)

I know dress sizes are different in the US (not sure about bra's?).

Thanks again for posting, and hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,

Roxy

To answer your question, Bra sizes are very different here (sort of). Generally, you won't see smaller than a 34" band most often unless it is an A cup, so the cup size would be slightly smaller because the too large of a band compensates for it. ANy regular department store usually only carries up to a D cup, maybe a DD at most. This is because makers and stores often no longer carry the full range of sizes and just carry the most popular ones for profit margin. There are women who these sizes are all perfect for. So i guess the main difference is not as much the sizing but the range of sizes and what women do to compensate. Luckily I learned about british bras that i could get online, otherwise i certainly would be up the creek.

if you got a bathing suit that was meant for someone who was a 34DD or a 36D you would probably find that it works just fine. It might not have the snugness of the band that you want, but it would probably be fittable.

As far as dress sizes, I think you probably be about a 6 or maybe 8? do i have that conversion right , UK folks?
