Betty Jean Kansas City ?

Hi there! There were so many individual dress houses in the US back then so it is sometimes difficult to find information on all of them. I can tell you that your jacket is vintage, but it is kind of hard for me to decide just the era as the pictures a wee bit on the flourescent side  I would think mid 1960's. Are there any other tags inside like a union tag?

Your Jerell Jr New York set is gorgeous. Definitely 1950's with that big full skirt! I have some old Mademoiselle magazines from the mid 1950's with many similar suits being advertised inside. I can't find any information them, but there are all sorts of dresses out there from this maker. They seem to make very lovely dresses. I cannot tell from your photos what the fabric is, but you should be able to figure out if it is gabardine at this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabardine
Likely if it were gabardine it would be made from wool

No other label except the Betty Jean one. No union, size, or material. It feels like wool. I apologize for the glow in the dark brightness of it lol May have to take pics inside lol.

The jerell also feels like at least a wool blend. Everything I read leads me to believe it's gabardine, but just wanted some second and third opinions. I love the way it rustles lol
