Hi. Is anyone familiar with the Beverly Paige label? Beautiful tweed skirt with no label but the belt made it and has the mark on the back! I'm trying to gauge a date and would appreciate any thoughts.

Any other clues would be helpful in dating--ie waist/hip/size measurements, fabric type of any lining, type of seam and hem finishing, placement of zipper and whether it's metal or nylon, etc. Also, is that a faint numeral 8 I see on the belt?

The "Beverly Paige Originals" label started appearing in the early 50s, and the line's focus for the next 2 decades seems to have always been skirts--plaid, pleated, tweed, circle, you name it--as well as maxi skirts, palazzos, and long dresses in the early to mid 70s. Not sure what happened after that!

I found a 1972 ad for plaid wool Beverly Paige skirts in which the length/proportion of two seemed quite similar to yours. I love the pocket detail on yours!

So funny thing! I just started to search for info on my skirt... Again! How funny when I thought "my skirt looks just like this!" Anyway to answer you question much belatedly... The skirt is not lined. Flat cut seams. The hem is ribbon trimmed. Side metal zipper with a metal snap. And yes it is sized 8 on the belt. The skirt had no tags. She's tiny. Only a 25"'waist. 26.5" long. I get late 50/ early 60 based on construction alone.
