Some of you will remember the photo Ang posted months ago--maybe last summer--of a Blass suit. It was very Chanel inspired with a stripe skirt and jacket and metallic brocade blouse (attached to the skirt) and lining. I think it was considered 70ish.
Ang, if you can, please post the photo again. If not, I'll photo it at the next sitting.
Well, long story short, I bought the suit and it arrived today. I am really thrilled with my purchase. It is a very good Chanel copy without quilting and chain.
I met Kate Rowold (Blass biographer) last fall and talked with her about it and other Blass designs. She said BB had no style of his own and frequently used other designers for inspiration.
The suit fabric is a little worn, but not the blouse. It has fabulous jeweled buttons.
