Hello All,

I'm surprised I didn't find Bill Haire in the label resource.

Here's a vintage Bill Haire airline pilot or attendant blazer.

My guess is 1970's ??. I'd appreciate any comments or information that anyone can provide.

Not sure which airlines this is for but the front buttons have the same stylish airlplane symbol that the label has.

It's in beautiful condition, just a few spots which dry cleaning could probably remove.

I figured out this was for the defunct Eastern Airlines.

Anybody have an idea of the era ? i'm thinking 60's, maybe 70's ?

I would guess that an airline's female employees would be wearing dresses in the 1960's, so I think this is 1970's or later.

Great jacket! I know there are collectors who would love to have it.
 
The funny thing is that around 94-96ish I had a suit that had people stop me asking if I worked for Lufthansa. I wore a plain colored silk scarf with it as well. It had gold braid near the cuffs, but they put it on an angle so not to be mistaken for airline or cruise employee. it was very fitted.

I know this was a real uniform and not a design inspired by it, but it made me think of that suit. I sure wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of it. It didn't fit anymore (i guess I can't be 21 forever), but I could have fit back into it now. That stunk.

Hello Trick Vintage

Are you interested in selling the Bill Haire Blazer? I used to fly as a Flight Attendant during the 1980s for the great Eastern Airlines and have been searching for this blazer for years. The ones I had I donated and regret what I had done. This was my favorite of all Eastern uniforms and the most with memories. I realize your post was some time ago however for me it's never to late especially in my quest for my "Breen" Blazer. Thanks so much!!!!
