Black Coat?

Ok everyone - this is the last one for today ;)

This seems to be a black coat and aside from being dirty, seems to be in really good condition. Could anyone provide me with any information about what type of coat it could be, when it is from .. is it a woman's coat?? It has no buttons but it does have some pockets at the front. I feel totally clueless with a lot of the things I got today but I LOVE learning from all of you :)

Thanks!

I want to shop where you shop! Nice coat, looks 1950s to me. Many refer to these as a wrap coat. Depending on how full it is in the back , you could call it a swing coat or swing topper coat although some feel a true "topper" is shorter than your coat. These were meant to be worn with long gloves, hence the slightly shorter sleeves.

If you have more to show us, bring it on! We LOVE to see vintage and we love to help when we can.
