Hi, I went and looked at the labels that Hollis directed me to and I can't find the one that is in my coat but the "script" that it is written in looks more like the 50's and 60's. I'm sorry I was so mistaken. It is a beautiful swing style coat with white mink around the collar and around the hem. It is black lamb. It fits me perfect and I am a size 10, it is in excellent condition. The label is white with a black signature and the word Paris on it which i believe is a "coulture" label. Next to the label is the name Erna Goetz embroidered into the lining. Also there is another label that says Macy's New York.
Erna (Nitter)Goetz was married to Curt Goetz from 1915 to 1917.
Curt Goetz (real name Kurt Walter Götz; born 17 November 1888 in Mainz, Germany; died 12 September 1960 in Grabs St. Gallen, Switzerland) was a Swiss-German writer, actor and film director. Curt Goetz was regarded as one of the most brilliant comedy writer of his time in the German-speaking world. In 1914 he married Erna Nitter, whom he divorced in 1917. Curt continued acting in silent movies, mainly thrillers. One of his colleagues from that time was the actor Max Landa. He was a distant relative of the Irish writer George Bernard Shaw.
