Black sequin playsuit

Hi everyone. I am wondering if someone can help me date this black sequin playsuit? It has a metal zipper and it appears to be handmade. The shoulders are a little uneven too. I am assuming 50s or 60s.

There is something that says tappety tap tap tap to me.... with character shoes a tailcoat and top hat!

Hand made is harder to date because it would depend on the skill set of the seamstress. She would sew and use items that she is familar with. The cut/style looks solid 50s to me. the waist and the thoulder straps. But that doesnt mean that it wasnt made at a later date for an act to fit an era.

Most likely 50s but to rule out past late 60s see if you can identify the fabric under the sequins. If you suspect polyester in anyway then it has to be into the later 60s and if it seems to be an older fabric such as rayon, nylon or some blend then I would be comfortable calling it 50s.

Just from the zipper picture it looks like some sort of wool knit maybe wool blend jersey knit? Anyone else see that? I am more comfortable with 50s then, even on the early side.

Yeah it feels like a cotton or wool knit blend, it does not feel synthetic. Thanks again for the info.
