Black velveteen asymmetric pillbox hat....1990s?

Any thoughts as to the accuracy of 90s? I'm going based mosly on the velveteen fabric. Is there a better term for this sort of asymmetric pillbox? It's narrower in the back.

It looks like classic early 1960s, not 1990s. It also looks like velvet (not velveteen), and are those plastic beads? The label is a 1960s label also.

I would not call it asymmetrical, simply more of a sloping shape. While it is not quite a true pillbox, I think it would certainly be correct in calling it that by today's terminology.
