Black wool pleated coat.

Hi all!

I found this beautiful black wool coat the other day and I just wanted an outside eye on the date. It feels very 20s-30s to me but I may be wrong. Deep black wool with almost a velvet pile feeling to it, very soft. Fold down stand collar, pleated tier bottom, button up cuffs with black cup shaped buttons, one large plastic type button and loop closure on the side. No lining but it looks like it may have had one at some point, deep facings. Really interesting curved and diagonal seams in the back, sleeves and shoulder area. Back is reinforced with a very faded black sheer light cotton muslin.

The black is hard to photograph on my phone :/

My thoughts are..........sell it to me!!! That is one beautiful coat. I would like to see a better view of the back, taken at a straight-on angle. It has all the look of a 1927-1929 coat. I am not sure how it falls from shoulder to hem.

Here is a coat from 1929. Also, tiered hems were very popular in 1928 and 1929, both for dresses and for coats.
