Hi I posted this on another part of the forum...I don't mean to spam the boards but decided I may have posted to the wrong board so will ask here
I thought these were Edwardian drawers but they are shirred at the waist with thing elastic bands...any ideas as to date on these..
I have not been here for a long long time
any ideas appreciated

I agree that they look like Edwardian style reproductions. Can you tell if the embroidered trim is done by machine or hand? The top of them look like someone has added an extra row of elastic to the one inside a waist casing, perhaps the latter needed replacing.

I've seen similar styles dating from the mid '70s during the nostalgia period, but the style could be a costume from any time.
 
They look like they are hand-stitched to me...The stitching follows the pattern on the flowers...I looks as if the elastic band could have been added later but I am not certain how to tell...The seams have a double row of single stitching but are "open" ...The fabric definitely feels like old Edwardian cotton...These came from an estate of a woman who collected vintage from the 1850s to the 1960s...Here are some pix of the cutwork and embroidery...Thank you for your replies

Thank you for the good close up: the embroidery looks like machine work to me. The zig zag on the reverse is a distinctive clue: if they were hand done, both sides would have similar satin stitch.
