I have this lovely little blouse in my stash, by Le Jardin de ma Soeur from Paris, which has me a little stumped:

Dating - it reminds me of the 40s, but somehow I was always thinking it was much newer - like 80s? Black crepe that feels like vintage rayon crepe and blush pink satin that feels fairly heavy. Pleats at the sleeve heads at the shoulders (I can't seem to get a decent photo of these right now) but no shoulder pads or any such things. Buttons are faceted plastic. Unfortunately it has suffered a bit from too much ironing.

Also, has anyone ever heard of this label? So far I have only found a theater of the same name in Brussels...

Sorry for the bad photos - it's already dark here when I get home in the evening, so it's hard to get any good photos during the week.

I read in several places online, including in an essay at THIS site about fashion, that the Le Jardin de Ma Soeur cafe was "the nightclub that Elsa Maxwell created for couturier Edward Molyneux." I immediately suspected that was the inspiration for the name of the clothing line. Unfortunately, I have not yet found any information about the clothing line, primarily because my comprehension of French is neglible.
