From time to time we have questions about lace. I highly recommend:
Guide to Lace and Linens, Elizabeth Kurella, Antique Trader Books, A Division of Landmark Specialty Publications, Norfolk, Virginia, UA, 1998.
"The introduction states: "This book is a response to all those who have complained that the lace identification books already on the library shelves havent' helped them. If you don't already know what the lace is, how are you going to look it up in a book of names?"
The book is organized by identifying threads which are manipulated to make stitches which are then combined to make lace. Names follow. Easy to read, follow and understand with your magnifying glass in hand. Many, many photos.
