Bootylicious crepe skirt: need dating and description help

This came to me as the bottom half of a late 40s/early 50s Lilli Ann suit that I bought online for myself - the seller said she had doubts about whether they were actually a set, and they weren't. I love the jacket and am keeping it, but am planning to sell this - it doesn't go well with the jacket design-wise even though the fabrics are somewhat similar. But I'm having my doubts about dating and wonder if there's a better way to describe the design elements. The skirt is a large with 30.5" waist, so had to be carefully pinned to Josephine. Lots of photos of details, sorry.

And here's what I came up with for the description. The skirt silhouette is A-line. A free floating vee shaped panel in front attaches into the sideseam with soft pleats, giving some ease for any tummy issues. There's another vee shaped panel in back, but this one dips lower, is attached at the center seam, and pleats into the bottom half of the zipper seaming, enhancing the wearer's curves in a delicious way.

Any feedback on dating or description would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm... I was wondering if this skirt was part of a dress at one time and possibly made from a pattern? The handkerchief 'apron' front is typical of the fashion for dresses in the 1940's. You see them rounded as well as pointed. What does the construction look like and the zip from the reverse?

Gorgeous skirt! I love how the back has a bustled effect! I think your description explains pretty well what is going on, and your pictures are really good too, especially for black! So I don't think that your customers will be missing anything, so that's good. As far as 'peplum' is concerned, I'm on the fence with that one. I've always understood a peplum to be a shorter overskirt or ruffle that is attaced at the waist of a blouse, jacket or dress. Would this be a true peplum?

The skirt is quite lovely. What will your title be?

Thanks for everyone's comments. I'm on the fence about using peplum too, as I think of a peplum as something that flares out rather than drapes in.

Vertugarde, the back zipper is a fairly haevy hidden zipper - there's no buttons or hooks at the waist.

For title, I was thinking of "40s Vintage Black Skirt Crepe Draped Curve Enhancing L"
