Bracelet Help. Arts & Crafts?

This bracelet is very heavy and the casting is very fine. Any one have an idea when, who? The clasp is unusual and looks older. I dropped it already once and lost a tiny stone. I gotta get it out of my clumsy hands! Thanks...

I like this! It does look older, however I have a necklace from the 60s that
has a couple of baubles on it that are almost identical to a couple on this
bracelet.

Is it possible that the little knobby thing that is usually on the slide
part of the clasp has broken off?

Sue

I have a very similar bracelet, although the baubles aren't as nice as yours. I think they are 1940s. There was a fashion for brass jewellery during the war, as well as chunky slave and charm bracelets. I am not a jewellery person so maybe someone will know for sure, but I would expect this to date from the mid 1940s.

Sue - that clasp works fine. I originally thought it broken too. The end of the inner ring has a lip that you push to make the inner ring move. Took me a while to figure it out!

Jonathan - I thought Art & Crafts because of the brass. I was hoping someone would say "unsigned Miriam Haskell"! We'll see.

I love chunky charms bracelets and brass...so, I have a fairly large collection (you will learn that I have a fairly large colleciton of a LOT of things LOL:P Anyway, I agree with Jonathan. That looks 40s to me. As he said, brass was widely used during the war years and immediately afterward and there was a huge kind of ethnic boho look going in those years as well. GREAT bracelet.
