Brain-freeze - this *is* 80s, right?

I'm pretty sure it is, but I just had a sudden moment of doubt. Reassure me. It's a fairly extreme high-waisted pencil skirt in cotton. That slightly old-fashioned label is, I *think*, something that turned up in the slightly more high-quality department store stalwarts of the 80s, before almost everyone went out of business...

I see 90's in this one, but maybe someone else can pop in to reassure you.. I love that high waist, so corseting and forgiving, I wore them all the time

Gah. It's those pitfalls you face when you actually *remember* the fashion - I had a school uniform skirt very like this (with a baggy shirt) in 1989. Then I suddenly thought, were they earlier?!

I think I'll go for a compromise between opinions here and say c. 1989-90 - just squeezing it into the 80s category on the strength of the archaic label, but I think you're right that these went into the 90s too...

I think its too long for the 90s -- was any skirt below the knee in the 90s? I would say 80s
