BRANIFF uniforms by PUCCI

It's been on my watch list since it was posted about here about 2 weeks ago. There's been 3 offers since November, all declined - the last offer was on 3/17. I can't understand whu no one has snatched it up for the $250,000 asking price.

So would the auction house's cut be $50,000? :wow22:

Wow, so this hostie has saved her old uniforms (provided free) and now hopes someone will fork over a fortune for them. Good luck honey!

If only everyone's old uniforms were worth so much. Very nice things there, but hooley, that's a heap o' cash.

Everything associated with Braniff has apparently achieved uber fetish status. The waiting rooms, ticket counters, even the planes were color coordinated with the PUCCI uniforms.

Here, unfortunately in black and white--

I know the bubble helmets were not the property of the stewardesses, but rather of Braniff, so they had to be turned in -- I can see those getting a lot of money but still.... I mean come on! Its just old clothes!!!!(I know, I can't believe I just said that either!)

Carrie, the auction the article mentions was scheduled for June - two years ago. Presumably that means that they weren't happy with the interest and hence turned to ebay.

They're quite amazing - I'm sure that for someone they'd be worth that much but for most of us...
