British Walkers sensible red leather peep-toe pumps

British Walkers seem to have been a popular affordable quality shoe for men for many decades but I can't find much about their women's line.

These pumps look virtually new and are a US size 9 (my size!!) but width is a AA and unfortunately too narrow for me. :-( I've been able to find out that the woman walking surrounded by the triangle symbol first came in use in 1934 (the men's version didn't come out until 1940), the company filed for the trademark in 1935, and it was registered in 1936. I don't handle vintage shoes much... I think 1940's for these?

Thank you,
~Donna
