Brooch help -- was Coro ever unsigned?

I have a brooch that has similar design elements to the coro trembler brooches and duettes of the late 30s/early 40s. Mine doesn't have a signature. Does anyone know if Coro pieces from this time period were ever unsigned, or do I just have a good Coro style brooch made by someone else?

There are Coro pieces from this period that are unsigned and as you suggest there were also Period copies made. There are Coro pieces in potmetal as well as rhodium and gold plate. I have a number of unsigned Coro pieces in my personal collection.

You might want to look and to see if you can find the patent for or an example of your brooch. This is a great site for Coro:

Linn, thanks so much--that's a super helpful site! I didn't find my brooch. I did find someone with the same brooch on the "florals no patent" page, and I'm assuming they're someone like me who is trying to figure out if their piece is a Coro?

I looked on the "florals no patent" page and the one that matches your piece (photo 28) is a signed Coro Duette. Yours is a brooch - but it's a pretty close match so if it were mine, I'd attribute it!
