196t's

Good morning/afternoon/night,
I've recently gone to a thrift shop and bought two vintage dresses, one that I've positively identified as 1960s. On the other hand, I haven't figured this one out yet. The brand was founded in 1942, so it dates after that.
It's a brazilian dress with an embroidered figure that looks like a flower, a side zipper and is made out of a heavy fabric (which I also haven't identified).
My best guess is that it's from the 1970s. Am I correct?
Thanks for your time and willingness.
