Bubble hem?

Hi everyone!

This dress has a gorgeous bubble hem, but as you can kind of see in the picture it is unfortunately a little "smooshed" in places. Any ideas on how to get the wrinkles out of the underside of the hem to give it some oomph without making a crease on the bottom? It's taffeta with a heavy interfacing as a lining; 50's Priscilla of Boston.

Steaming should work.

That was my initial thought. I guess a little water spot if my steamer or shower "spits" (I have an itty bitty bathroom lol) is better than searing a hole in it with an iron! Fingers crossed, and thanks!

I had a steamer that spit like crazy, I wrapped a really thick hand towel around the nozzle. The towel caught the water drops and the towel created more even heat.
