Hi all, I've had this little number for a while in the hope that one day I'll look good in white.. But that day is never gonna come, so will be selling it shortly. Just wondering if anyone's familiar with the sweet Bulkie label, and am I right with the dating?

It's in silky feel rayon, with side metal zip and adorable bow side details..

.. Also I have this gorge novelty circular skirt decorated at the front with purses spewing little metal coins <3 The skirt has been in storage for a long time and could do with a clean, can anyone advise the best way of going about it? Perhaps I'll have to unpick the metal details and re-attach after a machine wash..?

Oh what a dumbass, of course it's an I! I thought Bulkie sounded a bit ugly for a ladieswear label.. :duh2: I've never sent anything to be drycleaned, do you think it would be ok on the thick metal parts?

Hi Poppy's, it isn't too badly soiled as such, there is some light surface dustiness that isn't quite dirt but isn't coming off with light attention.. Also, the hem was taken up (poorly!) so I've let it back down again which has left a faint line of grubbiness.
The zip has completely rusted which I'm replacing anyway, so this isn't a job I'm doing immediately- I can try a bit of steam to freshen up and see how much difference it makes :) The neverending search for metal zips continues...

I agree. It's adorable! I would probably try to wipe the line from the old hemline with a damp wash cloth and hang it outside for a day or so. Of course the ability to do that in late November depends on where you live! :sunshine:
