Cabrelli Canada Handbag

I'm interested if anyone could help me approx. date this handbag by Cabrelli Canada. The company started in 1940 with bags manufactured in Canada only. In the 1980s they started importing and now all bags are imported from the Orient.

This bag was made in Canada. I'm also curious about whether it is genuine leather or not. How would one be able to tell?

It looks 70s to me... have you tried putting it in the freezer? If its leather it should remain pliable, if its vinyl it should be hard and stiff.

If you scratch the leather with your nail (in an inconspicuous area), the leather is real if you leave a mark.If not?....
