From this week's California apparel news:

"Textile makers go for the bright spot with textiles that emphasize the bright side of the spectrum. These trends and others—including new surface treatments, whimsical prints and bold graphics—set the stage for the upcoming textile shows in Los Angeles and Miami Beach."

Its easy to see the strong vintage influences with categorys such as "fine lines", "whimsy", "special effects", "circular logic", "wild things", "fit to be tied", and "close knit & laced up".

yep, i'm about positive i have actual yardage similar to the second and fourth prints, and had a sweater/coat similar to that fifth one that looks like crochet work...

:eureka: i should go find them....

I saw some wallpaper yesterday that was from the 40s, still on the wall, but I told my hubby if I could have that in fabric on the right dress I could sell a jillion of them. I hate to knock modern design, since I am an artist and all, but there's just something about those post war graphics that really tugs at my creative heart.
