Can anyone date this dress? 60\'s???

Hey,

Guess what? Yet another wedding dress! Seriously, what was I thinking? I just gave 2 of the other ones away, I couldn't even deal with it!!
Anyhoo, it's made by Campus brides, old metal zipper & pinked seams. Here are the pics. You can add (via hooks) a train (chiffon???) or not.

TIA!

Another beautiful find! It's lovely!! I might even try marketing it as a prom dress too. Without the trane it makes a gorgeous evening gown. Anyone else think so or am I the only nut case here??

I would say 60s. It very much reminds me of the dress my brother's date wore to his prom in the early 60s, only her dress had a bit of black trim. (Which someone with enough ingenuity could add and totally transform it into a Rene Zellwegger style dress!)

What a beautiful overskirt too!

I have seen some early 60s, maybe late 50s patterns that have an overskirt, but those were mostly short cocktail dresses that can convert.
With that little bow in the back it is probably real early 60s versus 50s...but i am no expert.

re: maureen on prom....buy it for prom...save it for your wedding! I think though the detail on the white dress is too bridey for prom but one never knows. I remember one year in the past few years...maybe it was when my sister was in school but it wasn't her prom that all the girls looked like brides in their white dresses.
