Can anyone tell me a bit about Jack Bryan dresses?

I actually purchased this cocktail dress in 1984. I'm about to post it on eBay and am unfamiliar with Jack Bryan's collections and not certain of how much I should list it for. I'm wondering until what year he continued his designs.

Thank you for all the info Lynne, really appreciate it. I really love this dress even after 30 years, I'd never seen any other pieces from Jack Bryan until today online.
