Can anyone tell me about Madame Etoile

I have a dress by Madame Etoile. It is gorgeous. Having a horrible time finding anything on the label at all other than it is usually expensive to obtain and some list it as museum quality.

I know a little. My mother and grandmother had clothing made by her. She was a custom dressmaker in midtown manhattan. By the 1960's she was an older woman...she was from France and her dresses were works of art. She was a lovely, kind woman, down to earth and elegant at the same time. I have an evening gown by her I want to sell and have no clue how. I'd love to learn more about her but can't find much. She even sent me birthday presents when I was small.
