Can I get an opinion on this Burberry Tie? Can someone tell me their opinion whether they think it is authentic or not? Also, approximately what year would you say this Tie was made? Thank you very much!

I've never seen a tie label placed on the thin end vertically like that before - they are typically horizontal across the wide end of the blade, or tucked in the lining. The exception is straight skinny ties from the 60's. I imagine they are not usually placed there because they would get caught when pulling this end through when tying.

As Carrie mentioned, showing the whole tie and both blades from the front and back will help us more accurately date your tie.

Just a GENERAL note about tie labels (and this should not be taken as speaking to authentication because I have zero expertise in that area and, as mentioned, we cannot authenticate items in this forum):

Labels being placed horizontally across the larger blade is usually a convention of more modern ties. Older ties frequently have the label(s) on the small blade . I have attached a few photos just to show you what I mean.

I have a love/hate relationship with ties. When they are in my house, I hate them. When they are on a rack in a store, auction, or estate sale, I love them and have to buy them so I can bring them home and hate them. I think vintage ties create some sort of strange sickness/addiction.
