Top one looks too glossy to be raccoon....not nutria, I have one on my site and it looks totally different. I'm thinking on that one still....

2nd one could be seal, is it super super heavy? If its lightweight, it would be seal dyed coney (rabbit), meant to look like seal but not quite as dense and with a much lighter hide.

Nice to see you Donna!

Hi Ang!
Good to see you also!

If it matters any the top one was taken with my studio lights?
I am not sure if the one is heavy or not! I will have to check that later as i am trying to get ready to take my boys camping!!
Thank you!!!!!

I don't think the second one is seal – I see those a lot here in Denmark, it is quite stiff and it's shiny – this looks much softer than seal. I have no idea what is, but collar looks like mink to me.

Sille, there is adult seal and baby seal. The adult is coarse, glossy and flat...as an adult seal appears. Baby seal is soft and fluffy. Sad but true. In the early part of the century seal was in high demand for coats.....its illegal now to club baby seals for fur, but it wasn't then.

Donna, you will know seal.....it weighs a LOT more than the average fur coat!

The black one looks like a lot like a coat I saw in a dealers; she'd marked it up as mole. It was the softest thing, velvety almost. Whether that coat was mole, or this one is - I don't know, just throwing it in! I've since read that mole fur will lay either way, front or back, if you know what I mean.
