I was reading a thread on the Ebay boards about disclosing where you get your vintage and how someone was tired of people disclosing that they got something for 1 at a thrift.
Generally Iam happy someone has made a good find at a thrift and it does not devalue the item. Because it takes a good eye to even find it some times and alot of research to know if it will sell....
I like veiwing people finds where ever it came from. Saved from a garbage can found at a thrift found in a bag of rags. Its all fun to me. I think the growth of ebay has made thrifting very competitive and it is getting hard to find vintage where you used to. I started out dressing fromt he thrift and got into vintage that way.
Why do people have ot be bitter about disclosing thrift sources. Like the are hidden anyway??? I seems like people like to jump on the negative bandwagon.
This is why I hang at this board. For the past year it has been a positive place for advice and vintage dicussions.
Thats all....
