can someone help me with fabric

I have looked and looked I am thinking maybe celenase (sp?) but I can't find an example. The reason I thought that is it looks like cellulite, ( pretty much matches my thighs)

Its a homemade slip but looks like a party dress except for the metal slides. I am thinkng late 40 early 50s for it




Very stiff and rustley ( is that a word) Its got to be some type of acetate ??
Oh and the one pic gave off a cast to it like moire but in real life it doesn't have that effect.

Would this be a crinkle taffeta Pauline? It really is hard to tell and it does look moire in the one pic. It also looks like it has a metallic thread to give it a lame appearance.

Crinkle taffetta thats a new one for me. Will go with that.

I still want to find out what celenase looks like though.
