Hi there-
I recently acquired this sexy little number, and to me it looks like it was made by a seamstress or home sewer from a large pucci scarf , but I cannot be sure: does anyone know if this style was made commercially by the house of Pucci or maybe a local store in Capri?
Also, even though I am pretty sure about the label being from the 60s (?) and the fabric being real (?) (see labels, signatures) I nonetheless want to be certain. My reason for pause is the machine stitched hems, especially if it was indeed made from a scarf. Were any of his scarves machine hemmed back in the day?
Finally, the finish on the fabric is not a smooth twill but a matte textured crepe. FYI, there are 2 pix here, so you may have to scroll down.
