I am getting a 1940s vibe. Any suggestions? Also the v neck goes all the way down to wherethe metal zipper starts which seems awfully risque...what do you think? Is it a lounger/robe, and not a dress at all? The metal zip has the name Waltes?? No labels.

Thank you in advance!!

Early '40s house dress, cotton seersucker - it could have been worn as a dressing gown over a night gown or as a dress with a petticoat so the risque factor isn't as racy as it looks. I've had a lot of these, they're personal favourites and yours is lovely.

I am a seersucker tactile addict. Does anyone know when they started making seersucker?
Cute robe.
The VFG fabric resource states the name is derived from milk and sugar. Maybe why I love it so much. teehee.

I love seersucker too - it's one of those fabrics that goes in and out of fashion and you see it mostly in the '40s and when the '40s styles were revived in the '70s.
