Can you help me date this dress?

Hi there
Can you help me dating this dress – Im considering about any decade from 40s to 70s, so I really need some help ;-).

It is made from a cotton fabric that has blue/red/white stripes in the weaving, no label, appears to be home-made, and some of the seams on the inside seems to be handmade.
It has a metal zipper on one side.
It has small belt-loops on either side, crocheted, I think, but the belt itself is missing.
AND – a mystery: On closer inspection, I discoveered that it has some small loops sewn in a different colour yarn ((yellowish) on the front/breast – on both sides – please see the additional photo's. Like something was meant to be fastened there? Or? Any ideas on dating or function of these loops are very welcome!

Thanks so much!

I can't help with the date. You're right about it being rather timeless. But the zipper pull may be a hint.

As to the loops on the collar, I suspect there was a tie of some sort or a narrow scarf.

@ Leisa – thanks – oh, yes – perhaps a scarf ...I can kind off see that....
@ vintage vortex – Thanks, yes, i like it too – something cheerfull and summer-likeabout it ... it's ca. 108 cm long – I think that's is about 43 "

Nothing new form here – just wanted to hear if anyone else could confirm Amber on the 50's?
Still feel very uncertain myself ;-)

Thanks so much :-)

Thank you very much, Golden Age – and, yes, it helps a bit – as, I do feel that it is "older" especially from the fabric, sewing and thevzip – only how much older is the question, You know. ;-)
But otherwise, I'll just list it with a vety "circa" dating, and anyhow it think someone will want it for summerwear soon here :-)
