Thanks!! You're all awesome! :)

70s. Amano is the maker? They have been re-soled with rubber, were probably originally leather on the sole. And the elastic gussets should be laying flat, not flared, so they look as though the rubber has broken down in the elastic.

Thank you, I thought 70's but would it be early or late 70's?

Yes Amano is the maker (wow good eye!!) and yeah the elastic is all stretched out and they are pretty well worn - but darn are they COMFY! I hate heels and I put these on decided they're awesome! I can see why they're well worn, they're so comfy!

So on vintage shoes the AA is a normal width? Would AAAA be narrow?

It's a good day when you find a comfortable of shoes that you like and are comfy to boot!

AA means narrow and 4a's would be very narrow. B is considered a regular width.

Such a good day :) Even better when they only cost me $2.50!! Whoo hoo for deals - I love those sandles in your siggy btw - I'm afraid I'd break something in the skinny heels, but I love them :)

Cool - they're awesome hey?! I wonder if that elastic part would be fixable? I guess I need to find a shoe repair person and see. I got more today I'm posting another post with them - super sexy heels :) Vroom vroom... :) ttyl
