It is a Spencer corset.It think it may be from the 40s but I have no clue.Its zipper is scovill/gripper zipper.Sorry about the cat in one of the pictures.
Can you please assist me in dating this corset?

What sort of material is it made of? It looks like nylon, so in that case I will go with '50s. I think it's a boned girdle rather than corset.

Thank you so much!I knew it was for the waist/hip area but I did not know that it was called a boned girdle.I believe it is nylon since it feels like a windbreaker kind of material.

I agree with Nicole, it's definitely a girdle - and 50's sounds right!
