I am retarded - I deleted my post. lol
anyway, thankfully after two months (it really must've been the fact that i'd given up and posted here) i finally spoke to the big boss who apparently is waiting on receiving the check from corporate. he gave me his word that i would receive it next week and even gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him next week if i didn't receive it. he even followed up with an email and cc'd the other idiot i spoke to. lol
so hopefully this will be what gets it done...
