Can't figure this one out....

Anyone have any pointers on dating this dress? 40s? It's a gorgeous yarn-embroidered semi-sheer dress and is very straight in silhouette. It has a natural waistline (or just below?) with belt loops at each side, and a pretty low v-neck. No closures, just a slip-over dress.

That's a little tricky. I would guess 40s-50s.

It looks 40s to me...I have seen this sort of lace used in 30s garments as well but the styling of this one looks very 40s to me. Lovely color!

I think very late 40s, possibly early 50s. It's a very classic style - great color and thank you for the crisp bright photos! - that stayed popular for a few years.
