Can\'t find any info about \'Tamara\'s of Southern California\'

Hi everyone! I have a dress that is labeled by 'Tamara's of Southern California'. My research has come up empty, and I'd love to know more about this company. Do any of you know about this label?

No help with the label. Do you think maybe it is a store label? Looks 70s to me. Lovely dress in a fab color!

I just found a 1970 Ontario, California newspaper article about a burglary at Tamara's Dress Shop, so I think you are correct about it being a store label. So, is Ontario Calif in southern California?

I found a second (1974) California reference to Tamara's:

"The fashions were from Tamaras in Northridge"

and from a 2004 California obit:

"Borek, Anna Rose Passed away April 14, 2004. She was born June 3, 1929 in San Pedro, and was a lifetime resident. Mrs. Borek was employed by Tamara's Dress Shop for 28 years."

so, I think we can safely assume that Tamara's was the store label.

This dress, actually the fabric and color, reminds me of an outfit I "borrowed" from my older sister in the early 70s. It was a long top with flared pants all in a shimmering silvery blue. I thought I was hot stuff!

Lynne, yes, Ontario is a community in Southern California. There's a regional airport there.
Northridge is another one, in the San Fernando Valley.
