Can't find info on 1980s dress manufacturer

I do not think this will help you much but it is a start. I remember having a dress with that brand but with a name like "cinnamon" it is hard to find exact information. I am sorry I could not be more helpful.

i wouldn't spend much time on it, honestly. there have been a zillion manufacturers over the years - large, small, and inbetween.
unless it's a big name designer, info on the manufacturer really doesn't matter. all that matters is the cuteness or beauty, and accurately dating it.

Good point, Joan! I know I'm OCD about many things, including researching the strangest topics for hours...
I'm somewhat vague on the date of the dress. It was mine, but I honestly don't know if it goes back to the early or late '80s. It's what I think is called a "secretary's dress"--blouson top, mock-T collar, elastic waist with detached same-fabric belt, and a separate (but attached) "bib-like" (sorry... I don't know the correct term) piece of fabric (again, same as the body of the dress) that starts at the shoulder seams and falls in "waves" to the pointed bottom, which ends a little bit above the waist. I've seen similar styles that were identified as from the '80s; and I guess there's no reason why I have to be any more specific than that.
It's only a size 4, and you'd think I'd remember the last time I was that tiny - hehe - but the '80s were when my kids were born, and that decade just flew by!
Anyway, thanks for putting things into perspective for me! *takes deep breath*
