Caron Chicago Dress??

Does anyone have any information about the label "Caron Chicago"? Tried to google it, but didn't come up with much. I am trying to date this dress...I think maybe 80's...70's? It's probably glaringly obvious, but I just want to make sure! :)

Hi Katie, a couple of questions: what sort of fabric is it? Looks like it might be a poly cotton knit. Are there any openings? I'm guessing nylon zipper up the back of the dress. Are there any other labels, eg fabric content, care label??

Going by the thin belt and the seeming absence of shoulder pads in the jacket I shall suggest mid to late 1970s.

Nicole~

There are no other labels in the dress. I am not that good with fabrics, but it does seem like a poly cotton blend. Also, there is a nylon zipper up in the side of the dress, no other openings.

Thanks for your help!

I did alterations at an upscale dress shop in the 80s. Caron was the only budget label we ever carried because my boss thought they did a nice job with design for our working women who could not afford the high end stuff. They always used synthetics. I think your dress may be early 80s because Catron was a conservative label and their designs tended to lag behind a bit.
