Cashmere cardigan dating help, pretty please?

Hi!

I picked up this cashmere cardigan yesterday. The brand is Ohrbach's...which according to wiki closed in 1987. So all I really know is that this sweater is at least 20 years old...but beyond that, I have no clue.

Hmmm...that is such a classic style it is hard to date.

Mens styles are difficult for me because they are slow to change. That said, the tag appears a little older.:scratchchin:

My wild guess would be 60s.

Wait for some of our mens clothing experts to come along!
 
That's a nice men's cardigan in a classic style - The label gives me a 50's or 60's feel - but I'm no where near certain -

I'm sure someone better able to judge will be along~
 
Thanks! I was unsure if this was men's or women's...so now I know that much!

I also posted this over on the eBay vintage clothing board and so far have been told 50's or 60's. So at least I'm getting it narrowed down!
 
Found this on the US government trademark website


Looks like the brand has been in use since 1925 but not registered until 1967. Since there is no registration symbol it would be older than 67.

I can see 50s too.

Wow, thanks cactusandcattails! That would explain why I couldn't find any RN on it.

I'll still wait for a few more opinions...but I think so far I'm going to lean towards late 50's/early 60's.
