At first I was thinking 80's but perhaps it's modern? It still has the hygenic inner panty lining...when did manufacturers start placing those? Tag states 100% Cotton. Nylon back zip with metal hook & eye closures. Adjustable straps with clear buttons adjusters. Thanks!

Thanks for that link, jeans! So, it appears as if the company went bankrupt in 1993. Would they still have made swimwear with the Catalina name on the tags after that or would they have changed it?
 
Yes, they are still making items with the Catalina name. It is owned by Warnco. I'm not familiar with that particular label, but it has the look of being quite recent. Cute swimsuit!
