HI,
Got hold of two cream blankets today both with the CC41 label on them. Don't have them to hand for pics etc but can anyone tell me when the Utility mark started? 1941 I think (due to the 41 part) but when did it end and how do you 'date' is the printed or stitched that is older? are there various colours on the tag not just black? I've tried an internet search but I'm not getting much luck. would apprecaite any info :puzzled: thank you all so much sharonxxx

Thank you for your help, I also found out that the Government had the best companies make the products and they had to be high quality and at a fixed price.
They say you learn something everyday and right not that is so true LOL! xx
 
Yes, that's true... the utility program was about guaranteeing a good quality garment so that it would last, not having a cheap thing fall apart after a few wearings.
