Chanel Creations

Hi Guys. I'm wondering if anybody can date these 2 suits and coat for me. Are they pre 1971 or post? They are a current size 6-8 and have metal zippers in the skirts. I have never seen this exact label before, but they are all authentic, I'm sure of it.

Claire Schaeffer will know for sure, but I am 99% sure that the 'Chanel Creations' label dates from the dark period of Chanel -- that time between the death of Coco and the hiring of Kaiser Karl, so c. 1972-82.

I agree with Jonathan. The Chanel Creations label, and there are a variety of label designs, was the pre-Lagerfeld period. I have a black tweed suit with the same buttons as the last picture.

I'm not sure when Chanel Creations began, but they were retired when Karl arrived.

The jacket with 3 pockets is unusual; I don't remember seeing an odd number of pockets before. I have a suit in a similar fabric.

The fur trimmed coat is similar to a Davidow copy I have. Wish you were near to compare the construction. Claire
