chanel earrings?! help please!

I was wondering if you could tell me if these are the real deal or not.
Ive had a look through ebay etc and it seems that both earrings are normally marked where just one of mine is.
They do feel quite substantial but are they just a copy?

Hi Susanjoyce, I've looked at a lot of Chanel clip on earrings like this that have had Chanel stamped on the back of one earring just like this.

Take a look at the vintage Chanel clip on earrings from reputable sellers online and compare. They have nice clear pictures and descriptions that I think will help you.

Awh thanks i'll go on another search. Ive only found one pair so far where only one is marked.

You are welcome. It is my understanding that some Chanel earrings are not stamped with Chanel on the back at all because they are too small. That is not the case in this situation but it shows that the stamp is not always uniform.

There are some true vintage couture experts on here. One or some of them may come along to share their opinions.

You said you looked through eBay, but I didn't know if you also read through eBay's Guide to Dating Chanel Costume Jewelry.

Oh i hadnt seen it but ive had a look now!
It says that 1980 to 1985 most pieces were marked with the date instead of 'made in France' so thats helpful with my earring having 1985 marked on it.
