Sandy,
I have seen quite few hats with that label or similar over the years, dating from the 1920s to the 1970s. Both Chapeau Original and Chapeaux Original, or sometimes it says Chapeau Originals. Subtle differences in the lettering on each. I have never researched the actual maker of the hats with those labels. It is not connected with Christian Dior.
Time period is 1960s. Possibly very late 1950s, but I am leaning to the 1960s. Looks like a hat made for the conservative woman.
Beverly is just the trade name of the type of novelty fur felt from which the hat was made. It is not the hat maker. The importer of the felt body is unknown to us without further research. So here is how it worked: The felt body was made in Italy, imported here by whoever, then given that "Beverly" name by the millinery wholesaler of the felt body (could be the importer or not), and then the body (with the Beverly stamp already inside) was purchased by a hat manufacturer who then blocked, and trimmed the finished hat as we see it now, and then it got the last step...adding the Chapeaux Original label. The hat's maker could be 1 of over 100 or more different hat makers from the 1960s time period.
If you want to dig around on Google for anything further, that information won't add anything to the hat's value to a collector, but it is fun to dig.
